Check out the behind the scenes video for Tinashe’s Complex Cover Shoot
Tinashe takes her dancing to the next level in the video for “Player,” the first single off her upcoming album Joyride. In the behind-the-scenes clip, shot at a penthouse studio overlooking downtown L.A., the singer battles several dancers, but faces her toughest challenge when she meets Chris Brown in the final performance.
“It takes place in a non-descriptive, futuristic type of location,” explained Tinashe. “I am battling different dancers in different genres of dance and kind of defeating them if you will.”
A shirtless Breezy shows off some moves of his own and gets “hot and steamy” while dancing with his sexy co-star. “She’s a talented young lady. I’ve grown quite fond of her,” he said of Tinashe, who returned the compliment.
“Chris Brown is an exceptionally talented entertainer, so I think it was somebody that I was definitely excited to collaborate with,” she said.
The full video debuts Monday. Go behind the scenes below.

After keeping the clubs on tilt with her smoke-and-drank single “2 On,” Tinashe slows down the tempo for her second look “Pretend,” co-starring rapper A$AP Rocky. On wax, the 21-year-old tries to put her feelings on Front Street and shoo away the problems in her current situationship. The visual finds her studying in a library and stealing glances at Rocky while clutching a composition notebook, making for a potential schoolside romance.
“‘Pretend’ is basically about when you’re in a relationship and instead of dealing with the stuff that you deal with in a relationship, you don’t want to do that,” she told VIBE about single no. 2 at SXSW in March. “You’re just going to pretend that everything is fine. I think a lot of people can relate.”
“Pretend” will appear on her solo debut Aquarius due Oct. 7 via RCA Records. Before the full visual hits VEVO, view the teaser below.
